How offline notes work
Your sarraf's IOU is locked on-chain into a batch of notes. Each note is a signed, verifiable claim you can hand to anyone — the recipient checks it fully offline (cert chain + your signature + the recipient binding). When either side is back online, the note settles on-chain to the recipient. Try to spend the same note twice and the chain convicts you: your collateral is seized and the honest victim is compensated.
